Daniel Cruise to Join Alcoa as Vice President – Public and Government Affairs

NEW YORK–Alcoa (NYSE:AA) today announced that Daniel Cruise will join Alcoa as
Vice President for Public and Government Affairs. He will oversee all
global, national, state and local governmental and regulatory affairs
and other public matters for the company.

Daniel Cruise comes to Alcoa from the Albright Stonebridge Group where,
as a Managing Director, he ran the firm’s New York office. At Albright
Stonebridge, Mr. Cruise advised global businesses as they entered new
markets and adjusted to local government and regulatory frameworks. Mr.
Cruise also served in President Clinton’s White House as Director for
Public Affairs for the National Security Council.

Prior to the Albright Stonebridge Group, Mr. Cruise was a Managing
Director at the strategic consulting firm Clark and Weinstock,
specializing in public affairs, investor relations and financial
communications.

During the Clinton Administration, Mr. Cruise worked at the White House
as Assistant Press Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Director of Public
Affairs for the National Security Council. He also played a key role in
securing passage of legislation extending Permanent Normal Trade
Relations to China.

Before joining the White House staff, Mr. Cruise was a senior member of
the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.

Prior to his public service, Mr. Cruise worked for J.P. Morgan on the
foreign currency sales desk.

Mr. Cruise holds a Master of Philosophy degree in International
Relations from the University of Cambridge. He received his
undergraduate degree with honors from Brown University, where he was
awarded the Harvey Baker Fellowship.
