Recruitment Fraud Warning

What is Recruitment Fraud?

Recruitment fraud is a sophisticated scam that offers fictitious job opportunities with the intent to steal from its victims. It is typically conducted online through unsolicited emails claiming to be from a well-known company. These emails instruct recipients to provide personal information, sign counterfeit letters of employment, organize visas and ultimately request payments. Perpetrators sometimes include without permission the impersonated company’s name and logo in their communications.

If you are contacted by someone who you suspect may not actually represent Howmet Aerospace, please forward the original email that includes the original subject line and complete header information to TalentAcquisitionCoE_Howmet@howmet.com.

Please do not send applications to the email address above as they will not be reviewed. To apply for a job with us, submit your application at https://www.howmet.com/apply-now.

How to Identify Recruitment Fraud:

  • The email does not come from an official Howmet Aerospace email address.
  • Your interview is conducted over instant messaging.
  • You are guaranteed a work-from-home position.
  • You are offered payment before being interviewed.
  • There is an early request for your personal information such as address details, date of birth, passport details, etc.
  • You are requested to contact other companies and individuals such as lawyers, bank officials, travel agencies, courier companies, visa/immigration processing agencies, etc.
  • The perpetrators offer to pay a large percentage of the fees requested and ask you to pay the remaining amount.
  • There is an insistence on urgency.

Candidates who seek employment with us are never required to pay any sum of money in advance. To do so would be contrary to our business conduct guidelines and ethical practices.
