Alcoa Wheels Contribute to Environmentally Friendly Coca-Cola Distribution Trucks in Belgium

November 17, 2009

CLEVELAND–Renault Trucks and Coca-Cola Enterprises Belgium (CCEB) are joining
forces to reduce their environmental impact, and Alcoa wheels are
playing a part.

Renault Trucks is making a test vehicle with a hybrid propulsion system
available to Coca-Cola Enterprises Belgium – a move which will speed up
development of the Renault Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech by having it
used under actual operating conditions.

To make the vehicle even more environmentally friendly, it is equipped
with Alcoa forged aluminum wheels with the easy to clean Dura-Bright®
surface treatment. Alcoa wheels are not only lighter than steel, but
also stronger and are 100% recyclable. Their reduced weight results in
fewer emissions.
