Alcoa Names Michael Pepper, President, Power and Propulsion, Engineered Products and Solutions Group

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio–Alcoa (NYSE: AA) announced today that Michael A. Pepper was
promoted to President, Alcoa Power and Propulsion (APP), a business
within its Engineered Products and Solutions Group.

Pepper succeeds Raymond B. Mitchell. “After 17 years, Ray leaves a
highly effective organization and we thank him for his many
contributions at Alcoa and wish him well in his future pursuits,” said
Jarrault.

Pepper brings to his new role 24 years of experience in the aerospace
market and broad leadership in sales, marketing, and engineering. He
began his career with Alcoa Howmet in 1987 and was appointed to his most
recent position of Vice President, Business Excellence, APP, in January
2011. Prior to this appointment, he served as Vice President of Strategy
and General Manager, Aerospace Airfoils, Alcoa Howmet; Vice President
and General Manager, Howmet Products and Services; and General Manager
of the company’s Whitehall, Michigan; Laval, Quebec, and Exeter, UK,
casting operations. He previously held a series of engineering,
manufacturing, and management positions at the Wichita Falls, Texas
casting operations.

A graduate of Midwestern State University, Pepper also successfully
completed the University of Tennessee’s Executive Development Program.
He and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Grand Haven, MI, and have three
daughters.
