Davies Named President, Alcoa Global Business Services

NEW YORK–Alcoa (NYSE:AA) announced today that Mark Davies has joined the company
as President – Alcoa Global Business Services, responsible for
implementing new Information Technology and shared services strategies
and integrating them with procurement operations into a global
organization capable of driving profitable growth for the Company.

In this new role, Davies will be responsible for Alcoa’s Procurement,
Shared Services, and Information Technology organizations. He will also
be a member of the Company’s Executive Council, the senior leadership
group responsible for setting strategic direction.

Prior to joining Alcoa, Davies was Managing Vice President of Strategic
Programs for Dell Inc., helping lead the global business transformation
of the company. Before that, he served as Chief Financial Officer of
Dell’s Global Consumer Group, a $13 billion enterprise with operations
in five regions and 45 countries.

Davies began his career at Hewlett Packard in financial operations and
ultimately held positions in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement
and Accounting for a number of international operations. He holds a
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western Washington University and
an MBA in Finance from Arizona State University.
