Jonathan Arena is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Secretary, a role he has held since April 13, 2026. Jon serves on the Howmet Aerospace Executive Leadership Team, the senior leadership team that sets strategic direction for the company.

Prior to joining Howmet,Jon most recently was Vice President and Chief Counsel at Huntington Ingalls Industries, Newport News Shipbuilding Division, a $6B military shipbuilder with over 26,000 employees.

Prior to Huntington Ingalls Industries, Jon held senior legal roles at The Boeing Company and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He holds degrees from The Ohio State University, Washington University in St. Louis and William & Mary law school.

Since 2020, Jon has served on the board of the Edmarc Children’s Hospice, the oldest children’s hospice in the nation.
